Buying To Rebuild: A Quick Look at How People Are Building Their Dream Homes in Park City

There are almost no lots left in Park City 84060 zip code. Most of those available are the tiny parcels in Old Town. So if you want to build your dream home, and Old Town isn’t your vibe, your best bet is to do a major remodel, or partial tear down to get the location you want and the home you dreamed of.

Some of the best places to remodel are in Park Meadows and Thaynes Canyon. Both of these beautiful neighborhoods are the first areas outside of Old Town Park City proper. They boast gorgeous views, “close to everything” locations, each have their own golf courses, loaded with excellent trails and are extremely family friendly. Quiet streets and quick to Main Street for dining and entertainment, makes these two neighborhoods well worth the time consuming task of a remodel.

If you’re looking for a less expensive option in Park City but still close to everything, Prospector is the place to be. Just across Kearns Blvd from Park Meadows and walking distance to several “Off Main” restaurants, on the Rail Trail and the Prospector single track trail system, with plentiful families. Added bonus, walking distance to schools and on the free bus line.

If you want to stay in the Park City School District, but perhaps commute to nearby Salt Lake City, north of the White Barn is your best bet. Neighborhoods like Silver Springs and Ranch Place are ideal for the Salt Lake Commuter, tucked away and quiet, with large open spaces at Swaner Nature Preserve for peace of mind. Jump on the opportunity to do a complete remodel in one of these neighborhoods. The money you put in to your project, if well designed and built by a professional contractor, will come back to you and then some. Silver Springs and Ranch Place are also home to the popular Parley’s Park Elementary School, which is well loved in our community.
